School Hours & Terms
Our school hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Our morning programme runs from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
We follow the same terms as Government schools with the exception being the first day of the school year. We start one day later at the beginning of each school year.
Play & Stay
We understand that there may be days when parents need an extra hour or two outside normal school hours.
eatherfoot Friends offers an ad hoc “play and stay” facility from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at a small additional cost.
Requests to make use of this on a particular day must be made by 9:30 a.m.
A Day at Featherfoot Friends
Every day at Featherfoot Friends is filled with opportunities to play, explore, learn and grow. From free play and creative activities to outdoor adventures, story time and music and movement, our days are thoughtfully filled with experiences that encourage curiosity, independence and joyful learning.

Free play indoors and out until all the children have arrived.
Pack up time, wash hands, early morning snack.
Pack up time and toilet routine Morning greeting ring, theme discussion, news, language and maths development.
Creative activities (painting, cutting, collage, etc.), educational games, puzzles and fine motor activities. Movement and play between the indoor Child-centered spaces.
Pack up time and toilet routine.
Outdoor free play (sand, water, climbing apparatus, bikes and all outdoor zones, e.g. mud kitchens, construction pit and Wendy house).
Obstacle courses, ball skills, hoops, bean bags.
Late morning snack.
Pack up time, quiet individual reading time.
Story time.
Music and movement ring.
Free play outside until parents arrive.
This is the basic timetable and is subject to change depending on the weather, outings, concert practices, events happening at school, etc. As you can see, we have a very busy, fun-filled morning.
